Baptism is where a private decision goes public. Going under the water and coming up again is a picture of the gospel itself — dead to an old life, raised into a new one with Jesus. It doesn’t save you; it announces that you’ve been saved. If you’ve decided to follow Jesus, this is your next step, and we’d love to walk it with you.

Baptism is a picture. When we go under the water and rise back up, we’re telling the same story the gospel tells: Jesus died, was buried, and rose again — and everyone who trusts Him dies to their old life and is raised into a new one. “We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)

Because Jesus did, and because He asked us to. Baptism was His command and His example — the first, clearest way to say out loud, “I’m with Him now.” It doesn’t earn anything or finish anything. It’s the next step of obedience for anyone who has decided to walk with Jesus, and it’s meant to be celebrated with the whole community.

What does the Bible say about baptism?
Baptism is a sign of the new covenant that pictures Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection — and our union with Him in it (Romans 6:3–4). Throughout the New Testament, those who believed the gospel were baptized as their first public act of faith.
Why should I get baptized?
Jesus both modeled baptism and commanded it (Matthew 28:19). If you’ve put your faith in Him, baptism is how you say so publicly. It’s not what saves you — it’s how you announce that you’ve been saved.
When should I get baptized?
After you’ve decided to follow Jesus. Baptism follows belief — so once you’ve trusted Him, there’s no reason to wait.
Do you baptize children?
Yes — after a child has made their own personal profession of faith in Jesus, not before (Acts 2:41; 8:12). We’d love to talk with your family and help you take the next step together.
I was baptized as an infant — should I be baptized again?
If you’ve since come to a personal faith in Jesus as an adult, we’d encourage you to be baptized as a believer. If you were already baptized after professing faith, once is enough.
