PRACTICALLY HOW TO READ THE BIBLE:
1. Have a plan.
2. Get a good study Bible (ESV study Bible)
3. Pray (ask God to speak to you)
4. Observe
• Just notice who’s there, what’s happening, what questions you have.
• Think about what it’s is telling you about God
• Think about what it is telling you about you
5. Meditate
• Choose a verse and slow down and recite it, turn it into a prayer
• Ask Jesus “what sin do I need to confess?”
• Ask Jesus “ what do I need to believe that I’m not believing?”
• Ask Jesus, “what do I need to do that I’m not doing?”
6. Pray
• Praise God
• Confess
• Thank Him
• Pray for others and things you are worried about.
